Exotic Flowers

In the story "Boundaries of Connectedness," Felicity's mother fell ill and the house meris, a Tok Pisin term meaning "plural of woman," would accompany her to the nearby market. Instead of taking the roadways, they would trek through the hills and long kunai grass, creating a magical memory that still fills Felicity with feelings of love, protection, and awe. Hessian was selected as the base material for all paintings depicting nostalgic or imaginative scenes due to its ability to soften and obscure intricate brushwork.

Synthetic polymer paint on treated hessian, attached to a quality canvas.  The painting has been varnished with a synthetic polymer varnish of archival quality.  24 by 24 inches (61 by 61 cm).
