During her visits with the meris to the market, Felicity closely observed the manner in which market-goers communicated. One of her most captivating observations was witnessing the hearty laughter that ensued, especially among those who had been chewing buai or betel nut, leaving their gums stained with a vivid red hue resembling blood or tomato juice. Hessian was selected as the base material for all paintings depicting nostalgic or imaginative scenes due to its ability to soften and obscure intricate brushwork.

Synthetic polymer paint on treated hessian on birchwood substrate.  Painting has been sealed with a synthetic polymer varnish of archival quality.  12 by 12 inches or (31.5 by 31.5 cm).

Please contact the artist to make a deposit arrangement and an invoice will be created for you with the downpayment recorded.  Due to the potential the exhibition offers the artist for sales exposure The deposit is only refundable if the following circumstances are met:

*The artwork becomes damaged during the exhibition

*The buyer is experiencing severe financial hardship.
